About
I’m a portrait, wedding and animal photographer seeking to photograph memories to last a lifetime.
Who am I?
Thanks so much for being here, my name is Alyssa LeeAnn! A little bit about myself you ask? Well, where do I begin? I love hiking, long walks, coffee, animals and organisms of all kinds (except camel crickets..... no sir, no thank you!), I am consumed with love for nature. I also used to be an athlete, I played basketball for around 15 years and I also ran track/cross country. I love animals, some people tell me I have a small zoo. I really enjoy a couple things when I am relaxing, I have been playing Sims since It first came out and I was able to play at the computer. I can honestly play The Sims 4 for HOURS and I am a huge One Piece fan. I like a lot of different animes and national geographic is my other favorite thing to watch. My Favorite color is Green and I am an Enneagram 7. I am also an Aries, a ram which means I am a very outgoing, energetic, bubbly and all around fun and friendly person to be around. My friends say I can talk to a brick wall and become friends with it. Currently I am a college student finishing my undergraduate degree. Hopefully, once I have completed my bachelors, I really wish to pursue my Masters in Zoology.
My Goals…
My goal is to strive to give you quality over quantity. I strive to give you nothing but the absolute best photos. I rather focus on THE best quality photo to give back rather than a bunch of photos that are mediocre. Quality is a biggest and most important word in my business for me, as I wish for the same in return if I was paying for any kind of service. I wish nothing more than to give you photos that are a resemblance of you as a person or family. There is nothing more I want as a photogrpahy than to capture your family as natural and carefree as possible. I like to make people feel comfortable and have immense amounts of fun when being photographed. A lot of my clients say that they feel like they’ve known me their whole life and that I make it very exhiliarting and effortless. I tend to like to pose more in a natural way where the body is fluid yet flattering. I also tend to take photography more in a artform type of way and applying rules to it.
A little back story on how I got here….
I embarked into photography roughly around 2013, fresh out of high school with my mother’s point and shoot. When I was young I became fascinated to read and study wildlife photography and would watch wildlife documentaries and filmmakers. I also am intrigued in the higher end fashion and editorial photography now a days, I love editorial work I think it is flawless and I love working with flashes. My first camera I got was a Reble t5i, I used it to learn basic manual shooting and the mathematics and the geometry behind photography and different art paths. I then bought a canon 5d mark iii and also a canon 6d mark iv. Unfortunately, probably not the best choices for my wrists (LOL). I had those cameras until I ran them in the ground. Being that person who wants nothing less than perfection, I strive to create memories that last a lifetime for people while also having a blast in a carefree and fun environment. I love meeting new people and going new places, it is what makes life fun and exciting. There has not been a moment in the ten+ years where I have not been grateful for the talent that has been bestowed upon me. I am interally thankful to be able to meet new people and photoraphy them. Now I primarily shoot mirrorless cameras, Sony to be exact, and pick lenses according to speed and also bokeh. I strive to have quality over quantity, and I like to have the sharpest lens in my bag at all times. Most the tine I shoot with an 85mm and 35mm.
My end goal with my career is to photograph both people and wildlife. Conservation biology and studying species is also my career path, however to educate people on certain species it is important to have documentation because people are captivated by images. I started out wanting to just pursue wildlife and pet photography. I really fell in love with the art behind photographing people as well. I know a few people think that photography is something aside from my Biological studies however it was always suppose to be intragraded into it! I tell people all the time I would love to be more like Joel Satore or jeff Corwin is an easy way to describe what I wish to do in the future. I would love to combine editorial with animals some day. With this being said, yes please bring your beloved pets to your shoot! It can be a tarantula or a dog, as small as a mouse or as large as a python! I love incoorporating the whole family in my shoots not just the humans (:
I hope this small little tid bit of my life has fascinated you, and maybe connected us in some way and I hope we get in touch soon! I cannot wait to photograph you!!
